This week our team are South Korea-bound to speak at the World Biomaterials Congress (WBC) 2024!
CSO Gerard Insley will be speaking on one of our co-development projects with Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) and Munster Technological University -‘Octacalcium phosphate scaffolds modification and functionalisation delivers superior bone healing in-vitro and in vivo.’
R&D Engineer Antzela Tzagiollari will be presenting on ‘Bioinspired Adhesives: Unlocking the potential of phosphoserine-modified calcium phosphates for effective bone repair and regeneration.’ This project is a collaborative effort between PBC Biomed with Dublin City University’s Medical Engineering Research Centre.
Finally, Tina Hashemi a PhD researcher at DCU’s Medical Engineering Research Centre, is speaking on our co-development project with I-Form, the SFI Research Centre for Advanced Manufacturing – ‘Advancing corrosion control in biodegradable magnesium implants through dual-layer calcium phosphate coatings for enhanced bone remodeling.’
An exciting conference for our team and the innovation programmes they are driving – good luck to all three speakers!
