Job Description

Summary

The Commercial Marketing Manager will lead downstream marketing initiatives for the overall PBC BioMed brand and its affiliate companies.  The manager drives revenue growth by aligning marketing strategies with sales goals, developing and executing revenue-focused marketing plans, managing budgets, and supporting both direct and indirect sales activities.  They analyze market trends, oversee and optimize promotional activities, and closely collaborate with sales, product development, operations and senior leadership to increase revenue and brand visibility.  This comprehensive role will allow the commercial marketing manager to utilize their medical product marketing expertise to drive client awareness, engagement, and satisfaction across all spectrums of traditional product lifecycle management, including managing surgeon relationships, conducting market research, identifying solutions for unmet needs, developing new medical therapies, and creating and executing go-to-market strategies to drive the commercial success of our products.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Strategy and Planning:
    • Create comprehensive commercial strategies that align revenue targets with business objectives.
    • Analyze, identify and prioritize market opportunities to optimize product adoption.
    • Key Opinion Leader surgeon selection and management.
    • Monitor market developments and competitor activities to ensure strategy optimization.
    • Partner with cross-functional teams to drive timely project execution.
  • Go-to-market Execution:
    • Develop effective sales and marketing tactics for product launches in each target market.
    • Identify and onboard distribution partners and sales agents.
    • Determine pricing, product positioning and target markets for product launches
    • Create sales and marketing collaterals, product training and sales training materials.
    • Develop and execute trade show and event strategy for target markets and specialties.
    • Develop and execute marketing communications strategy, including social media, digital platforms, advertising and press releases.
  • Revenue Generation:
    • Monitor and analyze sales performance to goals.
    • Provide actionable recommendations to improve performance and work with sales leadership to ensure effective implementation of needed adjustments.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business, Master’s diploma or MBA preferred
  • 3-5 years strategic or commercial product management experience in orthopedics, biologics, or other relevant medical device industry
  • 1-2 years sales experience preferred (independent or direct)
  • Project management experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills both in-person and via video
  • Ability to synthesize technical and clinical terms into compelling and simple marketing messages
  • Highly motivated and growth-oriented individual, with focus on personal and professional development
  • Mastery of MS Office
  • Design experience with Adobe Creative such as Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop preferred
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, both internally and with distribution partners
  • Ability to work in a dynamic global environment, with multiple projects, products and priorities
  • Ability to travel 60% of the time.  Travel will be mainly domestic US, with occasional travel between US and Ireland offices or other international
